Chicago Bull runs in the $300,000 Fremantle Cup this Friday evening and Lochinvar Art competes in the $50,000 Group 2 Breeders Crown Final for the four-year-olds.
Thursday morning at 10:30am I’ll be dissecting the Breeders Crown card and trying to tip a winner in the Fremantle Cup and up in Sydney with a few nice horses going around.
BREEDERS CROWN FINALS
2YO BOYS – Major Moth, Act Now and Bar Room Banta the only winning hopes. Map will be crucial. Does Major Moth hand up or park out the stable mate and try lead all of the way, potentially bringing Bar Room Banta into the equation.
TIP: Bar Room Banta each way ($5)
2YO FILLIES – Tough Tilly draws to lead and just like her name suggests, she’s real tough. Ladies In Red is something else, though, and I expect her to again prove her dominance here. Sits parked and wins with sheer speed.

3YO BOYS – Hardly a vintage crop but someone has to win the big prize. Only two winning chances in my view. Zeuss Bromac will lead for a long long way and he may well win the race. The other winning hope is Mach Dan.
His speed can swamp them all. Happy to be against the rest.

3YO FILLIES – Again, no superstars here but a few nice types. Sweet Louise has been well supported early on but is still raw.
Amelia Rose is too inconsistent to be getting my money whilst Techys Angel, The Pantheist and Dr Susan – a Group 1 winner – are all worth an each way ticket.
TIP – Dr Susan ($18), The Pantheist ($7) & Techys Angel ($12) each way
4YO BOYS – A ripping race.
Lochinvar Art arrives here as the deserved favourite but Hurricane Harley has led against him twice and beaten him home twice. Interesting!
I’m with ‘Arty’ but he will need to earn this one.
I Cast No Shadow and Malcolms Rhythm could be the extreme blowout chances should the unthinkable happen.
TIP – Lochinvar Art ($1.80)
4YO MARES – In peak form, Princess Tiffany just wins this race but there’s no doubt she’s no longer the killing machine she was as a baby.
Miss McGonagall led all the way last week over the short trip and nothing could make ground so that will be James Herbertson’s intention again.
No Win No Feed is some value should she get across them all early whilst Two Times Bettor deserves respect as well.

FREMANTLE CUP
I’m not going to pretend I watch West Aussie harness action religiously but I’ll be locked in here. There’s plenty of fat in this race with only a few winning chances.
Shockwave will be aiming at leading all the way ensuring Chicago Bull has to work overtime from the breeze or back in the pack.
Perfect Major is improving and winning would seem beyond Mighty Conqueror and Galactic Star given their form and draws respectively.
