Week 3 NFL Picks

Last week’s slate of NFL games went down as predictably as I can ever recall.

I tweeted out before the Monday Night Football game between New Orelans and Las Vegas, asking honestly who had had a perfect tipping week.
Whilst no one claimed to have been 15/15 at that point, there were more than a few who were 13/15 or even 14/15.
I missed on Minnesota (barred) and New Orleans, but otherwise it was a refreshing week of picks… albeit one not likely to occur again.

Week 3 begins with a tough match-up between two mediocre Floridian teams – Miami at Jacksonville.

Some of the highlight contests are Rams @ Bills, Vegas @ New England, Texans @ Steelers, Dallas @ Seahawks, Pack @ Saints and the best of all, KC @ Baltimore.

Let’s Pick ‘Em;

JAGUARS 28, DOLPHINS 23
FitzMagic versus Minshew Mania. The battle of the beard versus the moustache. Will be fun, but not a clash between great teams.

FALCONS 33, BEARS 24
ATL blew the unblowable lead last week. The offence scored 39 without a turnover so something in that realm will surely result in a win this week.

BILLS 23, RAMS 22
With a full house, Bills Mafia would make life hell for J Goff. J Allen and Diggs are helping the Bills become legitimate.

BROWNS 27, WASHINGTON 20
Early and often, give the ball to Chubb. Late and often, give the ball to Kareem. Easy recipe for Cleveland.

TITANS 24, VIKINGS 22
I’d like to pick Minnesota but they simply do not deserve to be picked. King Henry rolls and Jonnu Smith continues to emerge.

PATRIOTS 21, RAIDERS 17
Newton has shown ground game and aerial attack. D Carr is holding the wolves at bay but Bill will make life tough.

GAINTS 23, NINERS 20
Just too many injuries to great players. Yes, Saquon is out, as is Sterling Shep but San Fran barely has a healthy starter.

EAGLES 25, BENGALS 17
Joe Burrow keeps improving and hopefully AJ Green gets in a groove but Philly has to win otherwise the heat ramps up significantly.

TEXANS 28, STEELERS 25
The NFL has a way of upending the norm. Houston need a win, Deshaun needs a scalp and everyone expects Pittsburgh to carry along unharmed.

COLTS 30, JETS 18
Rivers can get in a rhythm here. New York is a basketcase.

BUCCANEERS 24, BRONCOS 17
Tough place to win – as TB knows very well – but Tampa wins, thanks to its defence and gets to 2-1.

CARDINALS 30, LIONS 24
K Murray keeps breaking out, Nuk keeps catching passes and it’s another Cards W.

SEAHAWKS 30, COWBOYS 27
DK Metcalf is developing into one of the premier receivers in the NFL. Seahawks are for real. Dallas dip to 1-2 but they’ll be alright.

PACKERS 33, SAINTS 24
Big questions are arising about the form of Brees. No such questions need be asked about Aaron Rodgers.

RAVENS 34, CHIEFS 30
Lamar may get the scalp this time but KC are still the top dogs in the AFC for mine.
