The Group 1 betting is dominated by Williams runner, Homesman, who was dominant last start in the Feehan at Moonee Valley over a mile. Stepping up to 1800m should suit him even more but the rivals are circling. It’s not the deepest race I’ve seen but last start Group 1-winner Gatting, Kiwi The Chosen One and mare Kenedna deserve respect and consideration.
Old warrior Hartnell is well in the market and yet to run a poor race this campaign however weight-for-age Group 1 wins may be just beyond him at start 55.

In the Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude Godolphin trio Lyre, Tenley and Flit dominate the market. Sydneysider Missle Mantra could upstage the Blue Army whilst Snapdancer and Acting could feature and McEvoy filly She Shao Fly could be the absolute blowout.
